Timber
FN alleges that Canada failed to obtain proper consent for the sale of timber as required by Treaty 3 and the Indian Act. Further, the FN alleges Canada failed to secure a reasonable compensation for the 1907 sale of timber rights. In addition, FN alleges Canada breached its fiduciary duty by allowing a third party to trespass on the west side of the reserve and cut timber.
