Treaty 6 Benefits The Saulteaux First Nation (SFN) submits that the Crown failed to fulfill its obligations to provide agricultural benefits owed to the SFN under the terms of Treaty 6. The term “treaty benefits” refers to articles such as tools, seed and livestock, and ammunition and twine to be supplied to each signatory band for the encouragement of the practice of agriculture and the sum of $1000 annually for three years for the provisions to assist in cultivation.
